Obituary of Robert Clifford Butcher

Robert C. Butcher, 36, of Oakland died on Saturday, May 26, 2012 at Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, WV. Born on April 10, 1976 he was the son of Robert D. and wife Linda Butcher of Monrovia and Laureen Ann McCormick of Oakland. Robert was a graduate of Catholic Central High School in Springfield, OH where he was captain of the football team. He had worked as an elevator mechanic for Otis Elevators in Baltimore. He was an avid snowboarder and enjoyed hunting and water skiing. In addition to his parents, he is survived by a son, Isaac Butcher and his mother, Lauren Kushner of Manheim, PA; three sisters, Katy Butcher and David Dubbert of Woodbine, Kerry Kooyman of Springfield, OH, and Nicole Butcher of Monrovia; a nephew Braden Dubbert; stepfather, Greg Kooyman of Kettering, OH; and paternal grandmother, Patricia Amanda Butcher of St. Petersburg, FL. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William F. Butcher and maternal grandparents, Cliff and Kathleen McCormick. Friends will be received on Saturday, June 2nd from 1 to 2 PM at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland, MD where a memorial service will be held at 2 PM.
