He is survived by two grandchildren, Deanna Rublee and husband Daniel of Oak Grove, KY and Thomas Dawson of Romney, WV; four great grandchildren, Haley, Brady, Delaney and Landry Rublee; and a sister, Nora Knotts of Kitzmiller. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Marcella (Kitzmiller) Dawson, in 1987; an infant daughter; two sons, Timothy and Frederick Dawson; two sisters, Elizabeth and Hetti; and three brothers, Howard, Henry and Carl.
