Wilbur was a good neighbor, friend and once an employer of my dad (Beardy) my brother Henry and also my husband Garry Mayfield. My husband started his mining career at the underground mine owned by Wilbur, and a great start it was for us leading to 22 years in the industry. I wish we would have kept in contact with him. Our deepest sympathy goes out to the family.
