He is survived by his loving wife of over 53 years, Maxine Florence (Dillsworth) Gower; two sons, Ray Gower and wife Debbie of Terra Alta, WV and Bob Gower and wife Paula of Oakland; grandchildren, Bobby Gower and girlfriend Josi Mauk, Billy Gower and Cody Gower, all of Oakland; a brother, Joseph Gower and companion May Cartwright of Stemple Ridge, WV; two sisters, Mary Pierson of Independence, WV and Alice Hartsell of Reedsville, WV; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers.
