She is survived by a son, William C. Higgins, Jr. of Sykesville; a daughter, Sharon L. Schell and husband Richard of Southbury, Connecticut; grandchildren, Andrew C. Schell and wife Kathleen of CT, Matthew S. Schell and wife Amanda of SC and Amy K. Schell of NY; great grandchildren, Mason, Addison, Cameron, Jackson, Isabel and Heidi; and a sister, Ruth Ann Martin and husband Douglas. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, William C. Higgins, Sr., in 1996 and a son, Robert J. Higgins, in 1993.
