He is survived by his loving wife of years, Mary (Riggleman) Matthews; two sisters, Deanna Arnold and Marion Teets; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by siblings, Lanny Matthews, Leroy Matthews, William Matthews, Loyal Matthews, Eleanor Matthews, Arvil Greaser, Joanne Paugh, Gerald Matthews and Yvonne Nicholas.
