He is survived by a daughter, Lesa Upole and husband Donnie of Oakland; two sons, Gary Shahan of Hodges, SC and Robert Shahan and wife Shannon of Greenwood, SC; four grandchildren, Joe Schmidt and wife Katelyn, Nick Shahan, Ashli Galloway and Donald Bouharoun; a great grandson, Jaxon Schmidt; three sisters, Dorothy Alexander of Aurora, WV, Charlene Copeland of Oakland and Patty Price and husband George of Deatsville, AL; two brothers, Arlie Shahan and John Shahan and wife Joann, both of Oakland; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Joseph Shahan; three sisters, Delores Robinson, Thelma Sweitzer and Reatha Sliger; and a brother, Howard Shahan.
