Phyllis is survived by her sons, Chester E. Friend and Gerald E. Friend, Jr.; grandchildren, Michael Haggerty, Destiny Friend, Harlee Friend and Jacob Friend; four great grandchildren, Axel Haggerty,  Annabella Grace Haggerty, Joel Winebrenner and Caiden Nelson; two brothers, Floyd Murphy and wife Gloria, Dewaine Murphy and wife Faye; a sister, Leora Lemon; and a number of nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Gerald E. Friend, Sr. in February 2014; two brothers and two sisters.
