Obituary of Christina Marie Tasker

Christina Maria Tasker, 64, of Pocomoke City, MD died unexpectedly, on Sunday, August 20, 2017 at Peninsula Regional Medical Center in Salisbury, MD. Born August 25, 1952 in Oakland, MD, she was the daughter of the late Robert and Mildred Crain.  Christina moved to Pocomoke with her husband in 1991 to start a church and made many new friends. Her heartbeat was the church, family and her many friends. She and her husband became actively involved in the community and they fell in love with Pocomoke.  Christina was a wife, mother, grandmother, homemaker, tax preparer at H. & R. Block and she loved to volunteer at the Samaritan Shelter. She was always putting others before herself. She loved to laugh and joke around all the time and her laugh was contagious. When she laughed the whole room took notice. She loved spending time with her family, church family, reading, and going on drives with her husband. Her grandchildren were the world to her. Her husband is taking her home to Sang Run for one more final drive together.  Christina is survived by her husband of 44 years, George E. Tasker; two daughters, Sherry Tasker (Johnny Parsons) and Shelly Daniels (Frank); five grandchildren, Andrew Daniels, Trevor Moats, Zach Moats, Cheyanne Moats and Abigail Daniels all of Pocomoke; two sisters, Judy Wilt (Lloyd) of Oakland, MD and Laney McHale of York, PA; one brother, John Legeer (Elsa) of Oakland and many nieces and nephews.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two sisters, Eva Jean Smith and Vauda Legeer and one brother, Bill Legeer.  A visitation will be held at the Community Center at the Pocomoke Firehouse, 1410 Market Street, Pocomoke City, MD 21851 from 2-5 PM on Sunday, August 27, 2017. A visitation will be held at Calvary Tabernacle, 27893 Garrett Hwy, Accident, MD on Tuesday, August 29, 2017 from 2-4 PM and 6-8 PM.  A funeral service will be held in the church on Wednesday, August 30, 2017 at 11 AM with an hour of visitation prior to the service.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Abundant Life Apostolic Church, 107 Payne Ave., Pocomoke City, MD 21851.  Local arrangements have been entrusted to the C & S Fredlock Funeral P.A., Oakland, MD.
