He is survived by a daughter, Kalendra “Kellie” Friend of Frostburg; two sons, Jesse Friend and Jamie Friend and wife Melita, both of Oakland; four grandchildren, Makaily, Ainsley, Lincoln and Quintin; a sister, Annis Friend Colaw; two brothers, Darvin Friend and wife Eleanor and Richard Friend and wife Betty; and a number of nieces and nephews.
