Crystal and Brandon,
I was a student in your Mother's second-grade-class during the 1981-1982 school year. If I remember correctly, we were her first official full-time class after a few years of substituting.
She was an excellent teacher and never seemed to lose her patience. I will always remember her as being friendly, dedicated, encouraging, and caring to all of us. Her personality made school exciting to a bunch of seven-year-old kids and I learned a lot about responsiblity and respect from her.
The world isn't as bright without Mrs. Day. Your family will be in my prayers.

So very sad to hear the news about such an amazing human being. Mrs Day was my first grade teacher and her son Brandon was always very nice to me and would throw football with me. She was like family.. she had such a significant impact in my life she was the only teacher whose methods really helped me for my future. Because of the way she taught I became a 4.0 student from my first grade year clear until high school. I wish my son could have met her. I remember her giving me a big hug at the end of my first grade year and telling me how proud of me she was and sent me home with a big letter telling my family what a wonderful experience it was to have me in her classroom. My prayers go out to all of the family and I'm so sorry for your loss. Fly high I know you will continue to watch down on those you love and I know in my heart you are in a better place smiling god bless you
