Surviving are her daughter, Rosanne “Susie” Sherwood and her husband Richard “Dick” of Maysville, WV, and her son, M. Van Evans and wife Mary Lynn of Clear Spring, MD; two grandchildren, Robert Evans and Amy Guessford; and four great-grandchildren, Delaney, Tegan, McKenna, and Brady. Along with her parents, Mrs. Evans was preceded in death by her husband, Chester Lee Evans in 2003, and her three brothers: Howard Earl “Pedro” Shank, William Denton “Bill” Shank, and Harold Elgin “Sonny” Shank.
