Obituary of Carlos Powell

Carlos Lee Powell, 69 of Oakland, MD died Sunday, January 3, 2010 at Garrett County Memorial Hospital. Born January 12, 1940 in Wheeling, WV, he was the son of the late Carlos Ray and Flossie V. (Reel) Powell. Mr. Powell was a self-employed truck driver and was a Veteran serving in the United States Navy. Surviving are his wife Lenora (McKinney) Powell; one son Carlos Michael Powell of Dayton, OH, one sister Mary Ovellette of Anderson, SC; one grandchild. The family will receive friends at the David A. Burdock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. Second St., Oakland, MD on Tuesday, January 5, 2010 from 2-4 & 6-8 p.m. Funeral services are 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, January 6, 2010 in the funeral home chapel with the Rev. Steve Sauder officiating.
