He is survived by three children, Charles Barnard and wife Darlene of Winchester, VA, Kenneth Barnard and wife Debra of Terra Alta, WV and Suzette Harold and husband Randy of Kitzmiller; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Alma Mae (Paugh) Barnard, in 2011; a daughter, Alma Virginia Hardesty; three sisters, Mary Evans, Elsie Miller and Eulalia Evans; and three infant brothers.
