Dear dad, Tomorrow you would be 90 years old. You've been gone over 6 years now and I still miss you. I know where you are though so I'm not sad for you, but for those of us left here without you. I know mom really misses you, still dreams about you and is longing to be with you again. She thinks it will be soon. I love you and miss you very much. DJ

I am so sorry to hear about Rev. Hixon,
While I was employed at Burdock Funeral Home as an apprentice I was privileged to work with Rev. Hixon. I enjoyed the fellowship that we shared and he always had a smile.
It was an honor to have been able to know him.
Love and Blessings,
Colt M. Black and family

My dearest dad,
I know that you are now in the arms of Jesus and finally free of this world, however I do miss you and wish that we could have you back, but I would never bring you back to this old world.
You wished for this for a long time and it finally happened for you. I will see you again, I know. I love you always. DJ

Dear Hixon Family
What words can lift your hearts in this time loss? All that comes to my mind is that as you said, "There he goes." Jesus and a host of angels stood with smiles saying, "Here he comes!" Pastor Hixon IS a wonderful man, and he lives on! I am so happy, so proud to have known him... to have been able to learn from him and to grow in Christ because of him. This sorrow will end, and you will see him again!
Love, Fran
(I knew Pastor Hixon while he was at Glendale. I went to Zion Bible School, under Dr. Kelly Varner and George McDowell...and was married to Barney Bolyard, the bread truck driver for Stroehman's.)

Sister Hixon and family,
Please know that you are in my prayers as you grieve the loss of Brother Hixon. What a wonderful, godly man he was. Surely when he entered the gates of heaven, he heard the words, "Well done, my good and faithful servant." May the Lord give you comfort and strength at this time.

Our deepest sympathy Aunt Irene, Nancy, Galen, and DJ. Keeping you all in prayer as we celebrate Uncle Gail's God-led life. He will be sorely missed by many! Uncle Gail's (stone) masonry work will be a lasting memorial to him, as well as his ministry to the hundreds of folks he met along life's journey. We will all remember his unique sense of humor - makes me smile just to think of that!! God bless!!

I had the great pleasure of meeting and knowing Brother Hixon. He was so kind. It's hard not to question why God took such a faithful servant from us. His faith and work here will be remembered by so many. He was truly a great minister. Heaven certainly received an angel. My thoughts and prayers to his family during this difficult time.
