He is survived by his children, twins Fiona and Finn Flaherty of Leesburg, VA; a sister, Carolyn Taylor and husband Will of Swanton; a niece, Stacey R. Payne; and two nephews, Samuel C. Bell and Scott Bell. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Jefferson Jay Flaherty, in 2013.
