I knew Mike for many years and in a world where too many people conform too much to what others expect them to be, are reserved about expressing emotions, and don't say what's on their mind, Mike was a refreshing exception. He was genuine and unique and a person who got to know him found a friend with a sly and quick sense of humor, one who was the first to share in their joy at everyday miracles like the birth of a new baby or a wedding with as much enthusiasm as if the good news had been his own, and who was just as quick to offer a hug and genuine compassion during times of sickness or grief. Mike had a lot of charisma and was fun to be around. Few who met him will ever forget him. I will miss him and my deepest sympathies go out to his family during this time-you all meant alot to him.
