He is survived by one brother, Gerald E. Friend, Sr. and wife Phyllis of Swanton; two nephews, Chester E. Friend and Gerald E. Friend, Jr.; two great-nieces; two great-nephews; and one great great-nephew. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Dayton Chester Friend.
