Obituary of Lena S. Schrock

Lena S. (Yoder) Schrock, 83, of Oakland, MD entered into eternal rest on Saturday, May 5, 2012. Born March 27, 1929, she was the daughter of the late Samuel U. and Abigail J. (Helmuth) Yoder. In her youth, she was baptized upon the confession of her faith in Jesus Christ and was presently a member of the Gortner Amish Church. On September 3, 1950, she was married to Norman N. Schrock of Oakland, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband of fifty-seven years; her parents; two brothers, Joseph and Elmer; one sister, Mary Ann; one great granddaughter, Brooklyn Schrock; and one nephew, Urias Yoder. Surviving are five sons, Raymond, married to Barbara (Hershberger) of Greenville, TN, Ezra, married to Ruth (Peachey) of Oakland, Evan, married to Viola (Beachy) of Oakland, Albert, married to Lois (Peachey) of Oakland, and Edward of the home; three daughters, Abbie, married to Joseph R. Kauffman of Bedford, PA, Emma and Nancy of the home; twenty-three grandchildren; thirteen great grandchildren; four nephews; and five nieces. The family will receive friends at the Gortner Amish Church on Monday from 7 to 9 PM and Tuesday from 1 to 3 and 7 to 9 PM. Funeral services are on Wednesday, May 9, 2012 at the church with Bishop Alvin Beachy officiating. Interment will follow in the Gortner Amish Cemetery. The Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A. of Oakland is assisting the family with arrangements. Service Information
