He is survived by his children, Roger Thomas of Gaithersburg, Paul Thomas, Jr. of Oakland, Randy Thomas and wife Ramona of Oakland, and Teresa VanDevender and husband Brian of Aurora, WV; eight grandchildren, Eric Thomas, Sara Thomas, Joshua Partridge, Jenna Partridge White, Chad VanDevender, Jordyn Thomas, Sydnee VanDevender and Brody Thomas; three great grandchildren; brothers, Jackson Thomas, Jr. and Carroll Thomas; sisters, Annabelle Pennington and Lucille Martin; also numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Helen Hewitt.
