He is survived by five children, Carol Craver and husband Rodger of Oakland, Barbara Jean Beard of California, MD, Larry Filsinger and wife Becky of Summerfield, FL, Doris Filsinger of Belleview, FL, and Ralph Filsinger and wife Esther of Sterling, VA; three grandchildren, John Canan, Mindy Marusek and Melissa Williams; six great grandchildren; two sisters, Patricia Filsinger and Barbara Pritts, both of Deer Park; a number of nieces and nephews; and special friends, Mace and Sandy Paugh of Deer Park. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy (Lindamood) Filsinger, in 1977; two children, infant daughter Linda Filsinger and Robert Martin Filsinger, Jr. in 1975; sisters, Frances Goetten, Ann Filsinger, Mary Reardon, and Ruth Filsinger; brothers, Philip “Babe” Filsinger, John Filsinger, and Charles “Mick” Filsinger.
