He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Barbara (Warsaw) Bachtel; sons, Gary Allan Bachtel and wife Debbie of WA, Gayle Andrew Bachtel of Oakland, Carroll Van Bachtel of Grantsville, Ricky Linn Bachtel and wife Tracey of Aurora, WV, and Randy Lee Bachtel and wife Susan of Westminster; a dear friend to whom Harold treated as a son, Shaun Sanders and wife Clara of Oakland and their daughters, Stacy, Karie, and Tonya; granddaughters, Jana Kirk, Jodie Lynch, Jennifer Robinson, Keri Bachtel, Bethany Bachtel and Marissa Bachtel; grandsons who will also serve as pallbearers, Justin Bachtel, Jason Bachtel, Andrew Bachtel, Brooks Bachtel, Nathan Bachtel and Zachary Bachtel; eleven great grandchildren; sisters, Helen Nine and Patricia Ryland; and a brother in law, Bruce Warsaw. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a grandchild, Cheston Van Bachtel; a sister, Grace Marie Ault; and brothers, Bernard Keith Bachtel and John Lee Bachtel.
