She is survived by her two sons, Leon Burgess and wife Judy of Elk Garden and Leroy Burgess and wife Loretta of Rawlings; six grandchildren, Jim Burgess, David Burgess, Allena Reddy, Walt Burgess, Tina Shillingburg and Teresa Hanlin; sixteen great grandchildren; two step great grandchildren; six great great grandchildren; and one step great great grandchild. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Walter Leroy Burgess, in 1991; a brother, Ollvie Cornell; and two half-sisters, Clellie Grapes and Allison Hanlin.
