I was late in learning of Ethel Rae's passing and did not have a chance to visit at the funeral home. I worked with Ethel Rae when she was on the Zoning Appeals Board and I was working with the County Zoning Office. She was a committed and valued member. She was also very supportive of me when I ran for Oakland Town Council and for Mayor. I appreciated her support and her words of encouragement. She will be missed!

I met Ethel Rae in May, 1973. She was an example to me of a committed wife, loving mother, and gracious lady. I look forward to seeing her again in Heaven.

Dear Snyder Family,
Im so sorry to hear about your recent loss in the family. The Bible gives us a wonderful hope that we will soon see fulfilled. Notice what Revelation 21:4 says, "And He(speaking of God) will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things haave passed away." So very soon God will bring about a time when we will no longer have death. That is such a wonderful hope that we have! You all are in my thoughts and prayers
Sincerely,
Madalyn Welsh

Barb and Dick,
I''m so grateful that I had the opportunity to take care of your mother. She was a very strong lady and spoke highly of her husband and children. I listened and learned alot from her; and she will be sadly missed by me but she will never be forgotten. I send you guys my love and prayers. I''m sure there was a big celebration Tuesday morning in Heaven when Jesus called her home. ~ Katie Bowser~

Dear Barbara and family,
The Lord is welcoming into His arms a wonderful woman. We feel so blessed to have known her ever so briefly and were always in awe of her mental sharpness and smiling nature. She will surely be missed by all the lives she has touched and will remain forever in my heart. Cherish those memories.
In His Love,

I enjoyed every opportunity that presented itself to talk with Ethel Rae. Opinionated? Sure Odds of you winning the argument? Not good. Knowing that she loved our community and the people that reside here........no doubts. She made me a better Board member, she made me think and always put a smile on my face. Her gift of life was a tremendous gift to all that knew her and beyond.

Barbara and Family,
My heart was saddened this morning when I saw your Mother's obituary notice. She was such a lady! I worked (since retired) at the BonTon in LaVale at the Estee Lauder counter and she was one of my special customers that was always a joy to see. I've missed seeing her these past few years but have often thought of her and wondered how she was doing. I will keep the family in my prayers.

Barbara and Dick,
My words cannot express how i felt about your mother. Never had i met a woman so proud and passionate about her family, clear down to the last time she kissed y cheek. She was like my surrogate grandmother, and friend all in one. I have written something for you both, i wanted you to have. I will miss her.
Ageless Love
A bird is singing.A flower blooms. A leaf falls. A snowflake drifts aimlessly.
Year after year, these things happen withut fail.
A first kiss. A marriage started from two young people in love... A son, and then a daughter. Diapers, bottles, first teeth and first words, all becoming meshed into a loving family. Grade school, then high school, all the while mother is there, waiting like the seasons that come upon us at every turn of our lives. First dates, first crushes, first heartbreaks. Father lends an ear and a hand. Another round of seasons come and go. Mother is remembering the love of her life, her one true love. Time passes, but her love is ageless and timeless. Grandkids, and great grandkids, all made from love that started with the love of two special people. Her singing, her words of praise of her husband and kids were known to all who knew her. Eyes that lit up at the mention of any member of her family, became ageless and beautiful, as if she were a new bride and mother all over again. Tired and frail, she has hung on for the family she loves so dearly for many years.... A bird has sang... The flowers have bloomed.. The leaves are falling. One of the most selfless women i have ever met, is finally going home.... She will miss her family here, but she will be with her true love again! Her love stood the test of time. The cycle has broken, but will carry on in the ageless love of her family.
