He is survived by a son, Dale Brown and wife Shirley of Oakland; a daughter, Sylvia Butler of McHenry; nine grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; four step great grandchildren; and ten great great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Violet (Secrist) Brown in 2001; a son, Larry Brown; three brothers; and eight sisters. Mr. Brown was the last surviving member of his immediate family.
