He is survived by his high school sweetheart and wife of 56 years, Thelma Jean (Thompson) Hershberger; three sons, Johnny Ray Hershberger and wife Cathy, Todd Allen Hershberger and wife Bronwyn, and Terry Lynn Hershberger; and grandchildren, Justin Hershberger, Bethany Hershberger, Joseph Hershberger, Sarah Hershberger and Madelynn Hershberger. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Rayleen Michelle Hershberger and a half-sister, Mary Catherine Cook.
