He is survived by his former wife, Darlene (Bishop) Mellinger of Albright, WV; two daughters, Jeanne Cramer of Broken Arrow, OK and Jamie Shaffer of Katy, TX; two grandchildren, Jeffery Anderson of Bruceton Mills, WV and Angel Reese of Terra Alta, WV; three great grandchildren; three brothers, John F. Mellinger, Jr. of Levels, WV, Clarence Mellinger of Swanton and William D. Mellinger of Baltimore; and two sisters, Lois M. Williams of Baltimore and Amelia Wolf of Oakland. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Harold (Pete) Mellinger and Calvin F. Mellinger; a sister, Mildred Legeer Crane; and his in-laws, Scott and Lenora Bishop.
