Obituary of Jerry H. Shillingburg

Jerry H. Shillingburg, 65, of Terra Alta, WV went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Monday, May 20, 2013 at home. He was born on April 5, 1948 in Oakland, the son of the late Hobert Arthur and Ramona Joan (Bowman) Shillingburg. Jerry was employed by Hill Side Trucking. He was a member of the White Dale Brethren Church in Terra Alta where he was their superintenant, Sunday school teacher and the church moderator. Jerry was a loving husband, father and grandfather and a avid fisherman. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Linda (Secrist) Shillingburg; four daughters, Felisha Jessie, Karen McFarlan, Sandy Berry and Cheryl Corby; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; a sister, Gail Schrock; and his favorite fishing buddies, brothers-in-law Elis Harvey, Terry Elliott and Roger Secrist and nephew Jayson Harvey; and a special uncle, Ted Bowman. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N. 2nd St., Oakland on Wednesday, May 22nd from 2 to 5 PM at which a funeral service will be held in the funeral home wth Pastor Stanley Waybright officating. www.burdockfredlockfh.com
