Obituary of Genevieve Dolores Kessel

Genevieve Dolores Kessel, 97, of Burke, VA formerly of Oakland and Gorman, MD died on Wednesday, May 22, 2013 at Burke Health Care Center in Burke. She was born on September 26, 1915 in Gorman the daughter of the late Willaim Haas and Bessie Alberta (Pope) Miller. Genevieve had retired as Postmaster of Gormania Post Office with 32 years of service with the U.S. Postal Service. She was Methodist by faith. She is survived by a daughter, Jenny Lynn Gale and husband Paul of Burke, VA; a son, Lowell William “Bill” Kessel of Milton, FL; four grandchildren and eleven great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by a sister, Evelyn A. Harvey. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Tuesday, June 4th from 9 to 10 AM at which time a funeral service will be held with Rev.
