What a fantastic day we had on Sunday. I've been associated with the forest service since I was born, 1949. Offutt taught me more in that afternoon than I ever knew existed. My husband, Stan, and I talked all the way home, to Morgantown, after our dinner at Hens House about what a wonder teacher, Historian, Offutt was for the state of Maryland. I can still remember campfires at Holofield tied State Park, when Kay and I and also Offutt were young. We have all been blessed with what God gave us.
