He is survived by two sisters, Rebecca Parks and husband Elwood and Sue Shirko and husband Charlie, all of Swanton; a niece, Amy Helbig of Baltimore; three nephews, Eric and Keith Parks and Christopher Shirko, all of Swanton; three great nieces; and two great nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Ronald Sharpless.
