Shirley and I were co-workers at Garrett County Memorial Hospital. I will always remember her compassion, laughter, and love.

Shirley was a precious lady whom I was blessed to get to know on my visits to Oakland Rehab & Nursing Home. She had a hard time speaking, but loved to hear "Victory in Jesus". She glowed! I loved her very dearly. I am sorry that I will be out of town and unable to attend the Memorial Service. My prayers are with you all.

Shirley was my friend and my cousin...We worked together and went to church together for years...While at Garrett Memorial Hospital, I was the RN in charge of 3rd floor on the nights I worked ,and Shirley was my CNA. She was a hard worker and a great CNA...They don't make hard workers like her much anymore..She was so very good to the patients.Shirley was a giver....A giver almost to her peril...She gave away much even when she herself lacked..She most always was found smiling when I visited her and rarely if ever complained...She loved her brothers and her family, but most of all she loved her God....Shirley, I love you and I am so thankful for knowing you are now perfectly healthy and in the arms of Jesus....I know you often talked about wanting to see your son Joseph Wayne....Well now you are forever with him, your loved ones, and your God...Till we meet again....Love

Dearest Family,
I am so sorry to hear of your recent loss. Through hard times such as these it is comforting to look into the hope God has given us for the very near future. Notice what the Bible says at Revelation 21:4. It says there, "and He will wipe out every tear from their eyes. And death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away." What a wonderful time that will be. A time when pain and suffering will be no more and we can live a happy and healthy life with our family and friends. Soon we will see this promise fulfilled. Wishing you all much comfort through this difficult time.
