He is survived by his wife of thirty-seven years, Rebecca Ann (Shaffer) Williams; a daughter, Autumn Cole Williams of Oakland; adopted son, Scott Meyers of Oakland; brother, Dr. Frederick Wallace Williams and wife Lois Anne of Accokeek, MD; sister in law, Kathy B. Shaffer of Oakland; nieces and nephews, Jennie Lynn Williams II Mastrofini and husband Leonard of Springfield VA, William Frederick Williams V and wife Christine of Manassas Park, VA, Mary Beth Yantz and husband Jason of Charleston, SC, Richard Bartlett Shaffer and wife Amanda of Oakland and Holly Shaffer of Oakland; great nieces and great nephews, Gianna Mastrofini, Leonardo Mastrofini, Ashley Williams and Ethan Williams; and special great nephews, Maddox and Myles Shaffer. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Ann Cole Williams Hall and brother in law, Richard Sterling Shaffer.
