Courtnay was a student of mine at Southern High School. Although I only had her in class a short time, she was always a pleasure to have in class. The last time I saw her was at McDonald's in Oakland this past summer. She ran across the parking lot to give me a big hug and tell me that she missed me. Her smile was delightful. I am saddened to her of hear passing and I would like to express my condolences to the entire family.
