Dearest Booth Family,
I am so very sorry to hear about your recent loss. Always remember that God sees what your going through and he is always there to give you comfort. One of my favorite scriptures is Revelation 21:4 where it says "And He will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more. neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore, the former things have passed away." It is so comforting to know that God promises a time when death will be no more! We will see this promise fulfilled in the very near future. But until then we must look to the Bible for comfort and insight into our hope for the future. Your family will continue to be in my thoughts and prayers.
Sincerely Yours,
Madalyn Welsh

Please accept my heart felt condolences, Mr. Booth was a man of integerty, a man of vision, but most of all a man with a heart and passion for life. Mr Booth taught me about life and to persue it with all the determination I could give it, his life lessons has been an inspiration all thru my life, I am sure he is somewhere throwing that wicked fast ball to someone, And I am sure he is reciting one of his favorite poems to someone, the immortal Anna Belle Lee. Take comfort that Mr. Booth has entered into another part of his life, and he will be doing all the things he loves and yes he will to continue to inspire us all even in death. May God send comfort to all of you and give you peace that only our Lord can provide. Jim Morris

Coach Booth was a wonderful person. He was so thoughtful and caring every single day. He loved his students and those he coached. He was a wonderful cross-country coach. I could remember hearing his voice telling me to keep going, especially up those long hills. My thoughts and prayers are with his family. He will truly be missed.

Linda and family--I felt the need to write and tell the family of one of the most remarkable teachers I have ever met (that being a lot since I am one), that I am so very sorry for your loss. I heard of his passing through FB friends. I recently moved to Michigan and can not attend the viewing for such a wonderful man but I wanted to say I truly am heart-broken for you all. Mr. Booth was an amazing teacher and person. I can remember the last time I saw him. He was in WalMart in Oakland sitting on the bench taking a break and I am so glad I took the few minutes I did to grab a hug and chat. I will forever remember him. I pray God wraps his arms around your family and helps you through this tough time. God Bless.

My 7 yr. old Eve today asked me what a LEGACY was (watching the Mandela coverage)...I soon found this post and demonstrated through my personal experience my high school English teacher and Coach Booth that this he what a legacy IS. This is the greatest written legacy to a man and educator I think I have ever read on this post. It captured this wonderful man, as best we could, as is what writing is. GOD BLESS sweet Linda, his kids, and those who remained so close to Mr. Booth. I hope I can be there to celebrate his life; be it regardless, he is making a great place for us to celebrate one day, in a world much better than this and he has made an impact on our loves that we will continue all of our days! I only wish & pray to be an educator, spouse, & parent such as him!

Oh dear Linda, how could this happen so very fast as we were chatting last night about how much Carl (Mr. Booth) as I always called made an impression on my life. I am so very sorry to hear this. I was so wanting to come visit with him. I am here if you need someone to talk to. I will always remember that beautiful smile of his and especially when he would pull something on some one. He will be remembered by many and loved by all who ever knew him. Heaven got a wonderful angel. R.I.P. Mr. Booth.

I am saddened by the news of Carl's passing. I will truly miss him. He was more than a teacher or coach to his students, he was a friend. Always celebrate his life through the memories you have of his time on this earth. He taught me to love poetry and Old Time Radio, and I hold my memories of him close to my heart.

Linda & family,
Where do I begin or how do I begin to express my sincere sympathy. Mr. Booth was an insperation to everyone. He was a wonderful, thoughtful and caring teacher. I had the pleasure of him teaching me from seventh grade on. A student can learn many things when someone takes the time and has the patience to teach.
God be with Linda and the family as they go thru this hard time saying "Goodbye" to a wonderful person.
Catch the big one, run the fastest and yell the loudest....you deserve it.
God Bless.
A student forever,
Patty
