One of my earliest memories of Bill is of him giving me a packet of Hershey Kisses after church one day in Friendsville, when I was about four or five. I remember him saying, "Make sure to hold them by the edge so they don't melt." As simple an example as that is, it sums up Bill as I remember him - dignified, kind, plainspoken, and practical. He had such presence and grace! His generosity touched so many lives, and he will be greatly missed.

Thelma, you and your family are in my thoughts and prayers, through this difficult time and for the days ahead. Bill had a heart of gold. I had seen Bill around for many years, but only got to know him when he started coming to Burlington to help us make apple butter for the Annual Apple Harvest Festival. He came early in the morning setting in the back room circle. Cutting and coring apples, and helping do whatever he could. Once in a while he would work on the canning line. He always said before he left, "See you tomorrow!" He brought a lot of joy to the circle each day and to us. I am sorry I could not be at his Memorial Service. But I have fond memories of a great guy! Love and prayers!

Thelma, Dwight, Nate and family, Pam and I offer our sincerest condolences on the loss of Bill. We enjoyed so much talking with him as he helped us on our home their in Bittinger years ago. If you needed "dry-walling" done, you called Bill Emory. He did not speak much, but when he did, you listened. He was an outstanding craftsman in his trade with much knowledge in all he seemed to do and I know he will be missed. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this time. dearest emory family, I am so very sorry to hear about your recent loss in the family. Death is for sure not a natural thing. We weren't made to have to cope with the loss of a loved one. And because of this, hard times like these can definitely get us down. But you can be assured that God sees exactly what your going through and he is always there to provide comfort... Notice what Revelation 21:4 says. It brings out there that "He will wipe out every tear from their eyes and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore..." Isn't it comforting to think that one day soon we won't have to worry about death anymore? So anytime your down always turn to God and the Bible for comfort. it will never let you down.
