She is survived by a daughter, Carol Thomas of North Charleston, SC; a son, Kenneth Sukow of Rawlings; six grandchildren, Catherine Kowertz of Huntington Beach, CA, Steven Costa of Charleston, SC, Kandi Brown of Salisbury, PA, Elizabeth Smith of Huntington Beach, CA, Vicki Guthrie of Mt. Lake Park and Cynthia Costa of Lake Elizabeth, CA; twelve great grandchildren; and two and a half great great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Henry Dwight Gauer, in 1979; four brothers; and one sister.
