He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Vivian Leona (Stonebraker) Brantner; one daughter, Sandra Brantner and fiancé Jim Stewart of Oakland; two sons, William Brantner, Jr., and wife Kristi of Friendsville and Michael Brantner and fiancé Randi Harsh of Mt. Lake Park with whom he resided; four grandchildren, Kerri Brantner, William Brantner, Ian Brantner and Ainsley Brantner; one great-granddaughter, Kendall Holliday; a step granddaughters, Emma and Kaitlyn Harsh; one brother, Lester Brantner and wife Leona of Rockville; and numerous nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by seven sister, seven brothers and one grandson.
