He is survived by his wife, Charlotte Elaine (Friend) Metz; four children, James Metz and wife Pinkie of West Point NY, Joyce Hensley and husband Robert of Friendsville, Mark Metz and wife Alicia of Mt. Lake Park and Jeannie Griffin and husband Mark , Sr. of Grantsville; fifteen grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; two sisters, Helen Dunchan of MI and Judy Werebaugh of Swallow Falls; a brother, Ron Metz of Mt. Lake Park; and a number of aunts, uncles and cousins.
