She is survived by two sons, Freddie Friend and wife Gail of Pittsburgh, PA and Alan Leo Friend of McHenry, MD; two granddaughters, Stephanie and Tatum Friend; a daughter in law, Bonnie Friend of IA; a brother, Ernest Rice of Bentleyville, PA; two brother in laws, William C. Friend and Robert W. Friend, both of Oakland, MD; one sister in law, Arlene Friend of Oakland, MD; and many nieces and nephews including two special nieces, Jeannie Myers of Bentleyville, PA and Charlene Friend of Oakland, MD. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Clifford D. Friend; four brothers, Charles, Clarence “Jack”, Clifton and Robert Rice; three sisters, Geraldine (Bell) Trothowen, Josephine Feuhler and Alice Mae (Hines) Plutch; a sister in law, Marion Rice; and one niece, Geraldine “Gerry” Friend.
