He is survived by a sister, Karen Harvey and husband Gordon and two brothers, David Keplinger and wife Lena and Clifford “Gene” Keplinger and wife Laurie, all of Elk Garden; also, twenty-two nieces and nephews, numerous great nieces and great nephews, and three step-children. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his former wife, Shirley Wolf; three sisters, Lois McCloud, Ruth Ann Paugh and Essie Pennington; two brothers, Paul, Jr. and Robert Keplinger; a nephew, Paul McCloud; and an infant niece, Darlene Pennington.
