In addition to his father, he is survived by his wife, Brenda Kay (Shell) Meadows; a daughter, Renee Dawn Meadows; two stepsons, Roy Lee Shell and Ripley Edward Andrews; three grandchildren, Ripley Joseph Andrews, Ava Shell and Quentin Shell; two sisters, Brenda Campbell of Slanesville and Patsy McFarlane of Oklahoma; a brother, Clem Meadows of Winchester, VA; and other special family members, Ollie Miller and Molly Armel. In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by a brother, John Pierce.
