He is survived by his long-time love and fiancee, Katherine McGinnis of Terra Alta; his children, Kenneth R. Canan of Streetsboro, OH, Jennifer Nelder and husband Billy of Kingwood and Mitch McGinnis and wife Amanda of Terra Alta; six grandchildren, Kacey, Dakota, Chelsea, Derek, Courtney and baby girl Canan; a brother, Kenneth E. Canan of Garrettsville, OH; a close cousin, Robert Canan, Jr.; and a number of nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his stepfather, Harold Weaver and a nephew, Jason Canan.
