Obituary of Melvin Douglas Davis

Melvin Douglas Davis, Jr., 48, of Oakland died on Sunday, February 8, 2015 at Allegheny General Hospital in Pittsburgh, PA. Born on November 26, 1966 in Kingwood, WV, he was the son of Frances Lorraine (Lewis) Davis of Oakland and the late Melvin Douglas Davis, Sr. He had worked as a carpenter. He enjoyed having cook-outs with his family and mopar racing. In addition to his mother, he is survived by his son, Travis Lee Davis; a brother, Brian Lee Davis and wife Holly; nieces and nephews, Shyanna, Sequoia, Brian and Haydenn. In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by a brother, Shane “Wayne” Davis. Friends will be received at the Burdock-Fredlock Funeral Home, P.A., 21 N 2nd St., Oakland on Thursday, February 12th from 5 to 7 PM after which time a funeral service will be held with Pastor Roger C. Kitzmiller officiating. Interment will be in the Oakland Cemetery. Service Information
