He is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Frances M. (Dixon) Sharpless; two sisters, Betty Jean Bullis and husband Delmar of Ft. Pierce, FL and Eleanor Jane Friend and husband Darvin of Oakland; special nephews, Mark and Terri Friend, and Brian and Melody Friend; special great nephews and great niece, Chancellor and Brody Friend, and Julia Alt; and a number of nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Carol Ann Sharpless and a brother, Ronald Lee Moreland.
