Obituary of Delano A. Sines

Delano Allen Sines, 79, of Wellington, passed away Wednesday, June 14, 2017 at home surrounded by family.  Born in Swallow Falls MD, son to the late Perry Harrison Sines and Mary Catherine (nee Reams) Sines. He was the step son to the late Gussie Rosetta (nee Upole) Sines.  Delano had worked for Brumfield’s in Wellington, Pipe Fittings, Seaway Bolt and General Plug and was a member of the Pine Grove Church of the Brethren in Swallow Falls, MD. He was also a member of the NRA and Isaac Walton League. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, gardening, gun smithing and his family’s history. Though Delano was a quiet man, he was known for his patience, strong opinions, and ability to teach others and lead them to where they needed to be.  He was very loving and cherished his family dearly.  Survivors include his loving wife of 59 years, Mary Frances (nee Davis) Sines, his children; Marsha (Richard) Manning, Glena (Tom) Johnson and Floyd (Jill) Sines, grandchildren; Jacob (Crystal) Davis, Don Manning, Nathan (Leah) Davis, Colleen (Josh) Green, Heather (Deb) Johnson, Charlotta (Bryce) Sines, Gyle (Abbie) Sines, Bret (Brianna) Oldaker and 12 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, siblings; Kathern (nee Sines) Walker, Robert Henry Sines (Vera Murphy), Chester Harrison Sines (Linda Greene), Carlton Junior Sines (Linda Reckart), Harry Wesley Sines (Karen Snelson), Mary Louise (nee Sines) Fint, and Russell Thomas Sines (Susan Beitzel), Jack Smith; In laws; Rose (nee Sikora) Sines and Tere (nee Garcia) Sines.  In addition to his father, mother and step mother, he was also preceded in death by brothers; Floyd Elbert, Earl Eugene and Charles Edward Sines, brother in laws; Dave Walker and Don Fint.  Friends and family will be received on Sunday, June 18, 2017 from 4-8 at Norton-Eastman Funeral Home, 370 South Main Street, Wellington.  A visitation will also be held on Tuesday, June 20, 2017, from 2-4 and 6-8 at C & S Fredlock Funeral Home 21 N 2nd St, Oakland, MD and again on Wednesday from 10-11am at Pine Grove Church of the Brethren, Oakland, MD 21550, where services will follow at 11am. A burial will follow at Taylor-Sines Cemetery in Oakland, MD.  In lieu of flowers, donations may be directed to Hospice of the Western Reserve, 2173 North Ridge Road, #H Lorain, OH 44055, Pine Grove Church , 9752 Sang Run Road, Oakland, MD 21550, or Lincoln Street Chapel, 139 Lincoln Street, Wellington, OH 44090.
