I am so sorry to hear of Steve's passing. I can't think of my childhood without thinking of the Sauder family and especially Steve. He never got caught up in our childish disputes and was always the calm peacemaker. I think those traits followed him into his grown-up years and made him a special person.
Deepest sympathies,
Julia Snader

My deepest condolences to the Sauder family for this tremendous loss. May the words found at Isaiah 26:19 bring you comfort in knowing that you will one day see Steven again.
Isaiah 26:19 "Your dead will live. My corpses will rise up. Awake and shout joyfully, You residents in the dust! For your dew is as the dew of the morning, And the earth will let those powerless in death come to life"

Anna We are so very sorry ......Our hearts are broken for you, your children and family....There is a void in all of our hearts and in every heart Steve has touched , with his truly kind and gentle spirit .....We have known Steve , for many years ,He will be missed ......We will miss Steves warm genuine smile ,when he greeted us on every visit and how he always offered his helping hand .... and his light sense of humor with his pleasant disposition ......Our visits to Deep Creek Lake will not be the same... But we will see Steve ,in every flower he planted ,in every butterfly ,his beautifull gardens attracted....and in every birds song ,beacuse of Steves caring hands .....his spirit will be all around us .. God Bless you all, your in our thoughts and prayers...

Anna
So sorry to hear of Steve's passing.
It was a shock to us and
Sorry we could not come to the services. Our hearts are sad.
I loved Steve's steadfast personality. Pat Landas would tell me about the way Steve ministered to her husband and the great way he had with people. We didn't get to see that side of him since we haven't been in contact for many years. Pictures say a 1000 words and I loved seeing Steve with his precious grandchildren. I will enjoy hearing those stories when we get to celebrate with the KING in heaven. Praying for the Holy Spirit to sustain you.
Writing to you from Honduras where we are in the middle of a 3 Month stay.

Elmer has good memories of working with Steve at Conestoga Grain. I remember you two came to our house the night Steve gave you your engagement ring. Both of you were so happy together. We grieve your loss. We ask God to hold you on those days when adjusting to life without Steve seems overwhelming. Sent with love

Anna, Beth, Holly, Andrew & Families,
We are so sorry for your loss. We both had an lot of love and respect for Steve. He was our hero, a true man of what he spoke and preached. He was a friend to all he met. We have and will continue to miss him and all of you at Gortner and Lois and I will surely miss Steve.
The only soothing fact is we all know where is now, spending his time with Jesus.
We will continue to keep all of you in our thoughts and prayers.
Love from, Chuck & Lois
