He is survived by five children, Renee Shreve, William Leon Shreve Jr. (and wife Patricia), Terry Shreve (and wife Gillian), and Tina Rodeheaver, all of Oakland, and Tonya Möeller (and husband Hans), Fayetteville, N.C.; one brother, Norman O. Shreve (and wife Lesley), Wellington, Ohio; and eight grandchildren, Stephanie, Zachery, Antony, and Katie Shreve, Savannah Rodeheaver, Sean and Clare Buckle, and Joanne Buckle Martin. He was also preceded in death by his wife, Sonja A. (Smith) Shreve, and one brother, Alvin P. Shreve
