He is survived by two sons, Carl M. Cathell, Jr. and wife Kayla A. of Oakland and David W. Cathell and wife Jill of Gardners, PA; grandchildren, Matthew Cathell, Katie Cathell, Brian Cathell and wife Caroline and Daniel Cathell and wife Desiree; great grandchildren, Colton and Lillian Cathell; and a sister, Catheline C. Martin of Dillsburg, PA. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Dorothy E. (Bernard) Cathell, on April 5, 2016 and a brother, Robert D. Cathell.
